Contributions to the benefit of the squadron in general.
Not specific to a battle, mission, event, campaign or other singular occurrence.
(e.g. leadership, training, mentoring, support of operations, recruiting, etc.)
Engagement Achievement
For outstanding performance in combat during a single engagement
such as a single battle or mission. (e.g. shooting down superior forces,
significant bombing mission, etc.)
Battle Achievement
For outstanding performance in combat during an entire battle
consisting of multiple engagements such as in a RBWL match. (e.g. leadership,
planning, scoring, etc.)
Campaign Achievement
In recognition of performance across an entire multi-battle event
such as a war or other tournament. (e.g. leadership, planning, overall scores,
etc.)
Process:
After submittal, the nomination form will be forwarded to the
Merit Officer for by the Merit Officer, Squadron CO and others. If the
nomination is approved, the specific award will be determined at that time.
